29 April 2008
We are upgrading all Hostroute customers to our new plan types. This will be completed by Friday. 50MB & 20MB accounts will be put on the new Bronze plan (because the starter and basic plans do not have any email facilities and customers sites would break). 100MB & 200MB accounts will be put on the new Silver plan 300MB and 500MB accounts will be put on the new Gold plan 1000MB accounts will be put on the new Platinum plan We hope you will enjoy your new accounts which give far greater disk space and bandwidth limits. Although we will be upgrading the accounts by Friday, for technical reasons you may find that the control panel shows the old plan name. Read moreNew easier domain ordering process

Customers registering domain names now have the option to log in and use their previously saved details once the availability of the domain has been confirmed. This will allow people to register domains without having to fill in a registration form each time. The form will be prefilled with your previous details (which can then be amended if required).
Upgrading to the new hosting account types
15 February 2008
Customers are enquiring about switching to our new hosting plan sizes were launched yesterday. Our intention is to upgrade all customers to the equivalent new plan size in approx four weeks time. Please do not ask for a regrade earlier as its likely you would choose a hosting plan size which would stop your site from working. For example our new basic and starter packages have no email facility so customers on our 20MB or 50MB plans might accidentally switch to those and lose their email. We will be upgrading customers on those plans free of charge to accounts with the correct email system even if it shows on our site as being more expensive than they are currently paying. We can not provide support for doing this and this information is provided for information only. We can not promise it will work or do anything to make it work if it does not. Read more
